Mrs. Arvis Renee' Walker is a compassionate and dedicated leader deeply invested in the success of Clayton County's parents, teachers, students, and the entire community. Her journey as a community leader began in 2021 when she was appointed as the District 7 Assistant Director. Currently serving as the President of the Clayton County Council of PTAs, Arvis has left an indelible mark on the Forest Park High School PTSA, leading the association to achieve numerous National and State awards, including the prestigious National PTA School of Excellence for three consecutive terms (2017-2019, 2018-2020, 2019-2021).

 

Arvis's commitment extends beyond her role in PTAs to various committees and councils, such as the Clayton County School Budget Committee, School Board Advisory Committee, and the Community Stakeholders Advisory Council. Since 2022, she has been an active member of the Clayton County Schools Volunteer on Patrol (VOP). In 2019, Arvis earned her Associate of Arts in Business from Ohio Christian University, complementing her extensive 25-year experience with a Fortune 500 Company.

 

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Arvis is a loving wife to Mr. Cedric Walker, managing a blended family of six children and four grandchildren. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident through her successful management of four businesses. Arvis's commitment to her faith is underscored by her role as the Pastor's Executive Assistant of Damascus Church International from 2015 to 2019, where she also served as the Chairwoman of the Greeters Committee.

 

Arvis Walker's dedication to community service has not gone unnoticed, receiving awards such as the Outstanding PTAS President Award, Outstanding Women of Excellence, Outstanding PTSA Award for Exceptional Leadership, and the Volunteer of the Year award from Ms. Queen of Positivity Non-Profit. Currently serving as the Chair of the Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration, Arvis plays a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
